A beautiful love story of Mr. and Mrs. Tenbrink and how these two met,….
“Daryl and I met through mutual friends. We knew each other for years before we started dating. As those years went by I moved to Arizona to start my nursing program at Arizona State University. Eventually he started calling me and we started a long distance relationship for a few years. We would call each other everyday and try to visit one another every month or more if we could. After I graduated from nursing school, I moved back to California in Daryl’s house. More years continued to go by and he eventually proposed to me, after almost 6 years of being together.
The proposal: I wanted to go wine tasting in Suisun Valley for a long time. Since he knew this was something I really wanted to do with him. He asked if I wanted to go wine tasting on a random Sunday in December. We went to the Pioneer Fruit stand which is the Suisun Valley Wine Co Op. We tasted multiple wines and when we were finished he took me across the street to The Jones’ Ranch/vineyard where he farms. He wanted to climb up a water tower to take pictures together with the vineyards in the background. It was raining that day, so I really didn’t feel like climbing up a huge water tower and slipping off of it. However he somehow got me to do it. He brought out a huge piece of cardboard out of his truck to make sure I wouldnt step in the mud. We carefully climbed to the top of the water tower and took some pictures. Unexpectedly, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked, and I think I somewhat blacked out. But of course I said Yes! After that amazing moment he climbed back down to his truck and brought back up some chilled champagne to enjoy together.
Our wedding was so memorable, from saying our vows together in our church to dancing the night away in a barn. Our friends and family helped make it all happen and we are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives.
As a married couple we look forward to traveling together, making wine, finding our first home, getting another Frenchie, and having some babies.”
Love your work Anna!!! Beautiful!
